Dear Followers,
It has been a wonderful trip so far. We have finally adjusted to the Greek showers, poopers, and time zone. We realized that with enough persistance anything can be flushed down the toilet. After a long day of checking out the ancient marble of the Acropolis on Sunday we retreated to our room for a quick nap before hitting the clubs that night. Unfortunatly we took 10 hour naps and didn't awake from our slumber until the middle of the night. We were shamed.
On Monday, refreshed from our quality sleep, we went to the National Archaelogical Museum of Athens where we studied many nude marble statues and even recognized a few things we learned about in school. We then picked up some Don Simon wine for the great bargain of 1.99 per 1.5 litres. We spent the evening sipping on wine determined to experience the Athens nightlife. On the way out the door we recruited a Norwegian girl who showed us around.
The next morning we packed our bags and made our way to Pireus, where we caught an overnight ferry to Heraklion, Crete. This is where we now reside.
